Discover the joy of creating your own little kiln-fired Christmas pieces with our small-group glass fusing workshops on Hayling Island, Hampshire. In a relaxed studio setting you will learn how to cut, layer and arrange coloured glass, before your design is fired to fuse everything into a glossy, durable artwork. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to develop your skills, our friendly guidance will help you explore handmade fused glass art at your own pace. All tools and materials are provided, so you can simply turn up and enjoy experimenting with shape, texture and light. Your pieces will then be fired and you can collect your unique handmade fused glass art to keep, or give as a thoughtful gift, about a week later. Refreshments will also be provided. There is a limit of 3 people per workshop enabling much faster learning. The advantage of a small class is that you can experiment with many different effects and techniques with an experienced Glass Artist on hand for true one to one learning. There is a minimum age limit for insurance purposes of 16 years or older unless accompanied by a guardian who is also booked onto the course and then the minimum age is 12 years old. The fusing and slumping in the kiln will take place after the workshop and the results can be collected, or posted to you at an additional cost. Please ensure you wear closed toe shoes for safety reasons. The session duration is 2 hours
